Affectionately called Sister Buhle by her teeming fans, Catherine Nobuhle was always destined for greatness. Even in the early years before her entrepreneurial journey when she had regrettably dabbled into airtime and e-wallet scheme, her doggedness and tenacity had always stood out. Her core personal values were incongruous with her side hustle, and she soon ended it for good.

Catherine has a strong drive for success, and this continues to serve her well as she breaks new grounds where many have failed. In a continent notorious for its deep-rooted patriarchy, women have had to work twice as hard for the same level of success as their male counterparts. Catherine belongs in this exclusive pantheon of women who have earned their way up the social and economic ladder and stayed there.

Her journey started when she had enrolled in a Forex trading program on WhatsApp and going all in, investing her time, money, and intellect- a perfect recipe that meant there could only be one outcome: Stratospheric Success. Her notable exploits in the Forex market soon made her arguably Africa’s Richest Woman in Forex. Even more impressively, she has mentored scores of African women via her Women in Forex initiative, empowering women to make legitimate income in the Forex market.

Never resting on her laurels, Catherine has also branched out into other businesses and entrepreneurial pursuits, transforming her into a ‘Multiple Source of Income Queen.’ She was credited for bringing the popular MLM program, Forsage to Africa, a program that has been an economic safety net for millions of Africa amidst these economically dire times.

Always on the lookout for opportunities, in 2018, Catherine birthed B-Exchange, a peer to peer exchange platform that met the growing demands of Africans for an inexpensive currency exchange solution that is tailored to the African market. This was in response to attempts by popular platforms like Skrill to ostracize Africans through unfair restrictions and exorbitant charges. B-Exchange was a breath of fresh air; it was inexpensive, efficient, and effective.

Catherine has continued to champion Afrocentric solutions. In 2019 she was instrumental to the Establishment of DafriGroup, a multinational conglomerate with interests in a wide range of niches, including cryptocurrency, technology, real estate, lifestyle, and hospitality. DafriGroup has the seminal serial entrepreneur Xolane Ndhlovu as its current chairman, Award-winning Banker Ramaswamy Easwaran, as CEO, with Catherine serving as the group’s Chief Marketing Officer. The group’s flagship subsidiaries DafriBank and DafriExchange, will commence operation in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Other subsidiaries include Omaha Hotels, DafriEstate, and others yet to be announced.

In a visionary move, it was announced that all of these companies would accept popular cryptocurrencies in exchange for services, including DafriGroup’s native DBA Token, whose value will benefit immensely from this. From December 2020, sales of the DBA token will be open to early supporters of DafriGroup, who stand to reap the rewards from the inevitable growth in DBA’s value. Revenue from DBA tokens’ sales is not needed for launching since Catherine already secured a $5 million funding for DafriBank through Umeh Foundation.

Despite her several achievements and amassed wealth, Catherine has remained in touch with her roots and ever committed to the empowerment of Africans. She is renowned for her altruism and philanthropy through the DafriGroup subsidiaries and other avenues. She has become a real source of inspiration to many across the African continent, where her works have been most impactful. No one knows what the future holds, but the signs are unmistakable — Catherine Buhle represents a real force for good whose rise has only just begun.

Update: Catherine is now the Managing Director of DafriGroup PLC.
