DafriBank helps Africa in the wake of Covid-19
In many parts of Africa, the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc to many which led to the further impoverishment of a continent that already records the highest population of the poorest of the poor.
In a rare display of altruism and humanitarianism, DafriBank and its parent company DafriGroup in collaboration with the UMEH foundation reached out to help in many parts of Africa in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nigeria
In Nigeria, a 10-year educational empowerment program (FunKidsLikeSuccess Initiative) worth 100 million naira was launched. And that’s not all, lots of food supplies, as well as other necessities, were also recently distributed.
Watch the video below showing the DafriBank event held in Anambra state where some of the dignitaries present included representatives from the state government, top Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), and many others. The event did not go unnoticed by prominent national media houses and newspapers who were also on ground to cover the event.

South Africa
In other events in South Africa, large donations were also made in connection to Covid-19 relief and other under-resourced groups like Ex Offenders also benefited from DafriBank’s philanthropy.
Since the events, Nigerians and South Africans have continued to shower encomiums on the chairman of DafriGroup and Umeh Foundation, Xolane Ndhlovu who spearheaded this campaign.
It should be noted that DafriBank is set to begin operations soon and will have its first physical offices in Nigeria and South Africa. For more information about DafriBank join the conversation on Telegram here
